You won’t believe how easy it is to whip up your own homemade crackers. These feature nutty almond flour and fiber-rich flaxseeds.
Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp flax seeds
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 cups super-fine gluten-free almond flour
- ½ tsp flaky sea salt
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350℉. In a large bowl, combine the egg, flaxseeds, sesame seeds, oil, salt, and pepper, whisking to combine. Add almond flour, stirring until dough comes together.
- Transfer dough to a large sheet of parchment paper and top with another large sheet of parchment. Using a rolling pin, roll to an ⅛-inch thickness. If dough cracks, press back together and continue rolling.
- Remove top sheet of parchment paper and cut dough into 2-inch squares. Transfer the parchment with dough to a large baking sheet. Sprinkle with flaky salt and gently press into dough to adhere.
- Bake 13–15 min., until crackers are golden. Cool completely on a rack and break to separate squares. Serve with Spicy Hummus.
