Beef chili and chopped onions jazz up hot dogs for this easy 5-ingredient take on a Midwestern classic.
Ingredients
- ½ small white onion, very finely chopped
- 6 hot dogs
- 6 hot dog buns, lightly toasted
- 1 cup prepared beef chili, heated
- 3 tbsp spicy brown mustard
Steps
- Set grill or grill pan to medium. Soak the onion in cold water at least 10 min.
- Meanwhile, grill the hot dogs 6–8 min., until browned, turning occasionally.
- Drain onions well and pat dry with paper towels. Place hot dogs in the buns. Top with the chili, onions, and mustard.
